Our packages contain everything that you will need including instructions, diagrams and customer support on how to resurface your tennis or basketball court yourself to make your venture a smooth and happy one.
Remember always send us photos of your court so we can help you determine the package that will best suit your needs.

Packages for resurfacing the court(s) are:

Package 1 – Court that is in good condition

Includes:
a. 10 – 5 gallon pails of ready mix acrylic resurfacer (1 – coat)
b. 16 – 5 gallon pails of ready mix color (2 – coats)
c 8 – rolls of 3m masking tape
d. 2 – 5 gallon pails of court patch binder
e. 1 – squeegee paint applicator
f. 1 – Line tape applicator (this is provided on a rental basis and costs $70/week)
g. 1- scraper
h. 1- power hand blower
i. 1 – mixing drill
j. 1 – mixing blade

Package 2 – Court that is in fair condition: Rough surface, several cracks, several depression (note: more court patch may be required if your depressions are very deep)

b. 17 – 5 gallon pails of ready mix color (2 – coats)
c 8 – rolls of 3m masking tape

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Step 1

  • Clean and power blow the courts using a 2,000-4,000 psi pressure washer and a power blower.
  • Crack Repair: remove excess dirt and rout the crack as needed and insert the crack filler into the crack.

    Please note that cracks sometimes return prematurely and this is normal for hard courts

     

    Procedure for Repairing Cracks:

    A. Grind and clean out the crack as needed
    B. V out the crack with either a sharp tool or a grinder.

    Note: applying an additional coat or two of acrylic resurfacer often helps hide the patch work.

  • Fix depressions:
    A depression is any area on the court that holds more than a nickel’s depth of water after allowing the court to dry 1 hours in direct sun light.
    These depressions can be addressed with by pouring court patch binder into the deepest area and raising the area with this material in order to help eliminate the depressions.
  • Apply acrylic resurfacer to tennis courts. Mix as per instructions. Varying amounts of clean silica sand depending on the condition of the court.
  • Apply two to three coats of Color Coat Concentrate. This is the wearing surface so make sure that it is evenly applied over the entire court surface.

    A few tips:
    Always keep a fresh supply of water on site to ensure that all tools are cleaned of after use.
    Mix the materials consisentantly after each coat this will ensure an even result.
    Once the materials are mixed apply it right away.

  • Stripe the court: Make sure you have a diagram handy.

    Also make sure that you have a helper and plenty of chalk and a chalk line.

    Tips:

    • Use Line sealer for crisper lines.
    • Pour the line paint into a bottle and squirt it out over the lines while the other person either rolls the paint or brushes it out.

    We rent tape machines for your convenience.

  • Tips on Painting your court:

    1. pressure wash court using a comercial pressure washer. This will help ensure that the new materials stick.
    2.Repair cracks and depressions first.
    3.When applying paint or acrylic resurfacer always apply an entire coat at once. This will keep the paint even and help prevent ridge lines from forming.
    4.Make your own line measurements. Do not rely on the old lines as they may be incorrect.
    5.Use painter´s masking tape to paint lines. Try to paint the lines asap after the tape is on the court to avoid leaving glue from the tape behind due to the heat.
