A Running Track with All Weather Capacity
Plexitrac Systems are proven performers in all climatic conditions. Our proprietary coating system protects Plexitracs against fade and degradation from the heat and sun even in harsh UV environments like the South Pacific, Dubai and Australia. The granular EPDM rubber meets the IAAF requirements for slip resistance, a common challenge in rainy climates like the Northwest US and much of the Florida. Plexitrac Systems resist the snow and winter cold that degrade lesser running tracks.
Plexitrac Systems allow athletes to perform safely in a full range of temperatures. From 40º - 120ºF (4 - 49ºC), the performance properties of the track remain favorable for training and competing.

Calibration of Plexitrac's safety performance has been achieved over the full range of climactic conditions a runner encounters from 40ºF to 120ºF (4ºC - 49ºC). This level of performance over such a broad temperature range is characteristic of Plexitrac's superior PolyResin Technology. There is minimal thermoplastic change. This type of performance is unique, comparing favorably to more expensive urethane running track systems.
Plexitrac researchers in conjunction with leading scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have found that installation of a full thickness, shock-absorbing surface is crucial in achieving proper safety for the athlete. Environmentally Preferable Running Tracks
Plexitrac's unique structural mix of select water-based resins provide a durable, cohesive, non-toxic and environmentally friendly track surface which meet the rigorous athletic standards set by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF).
Plexipave Sport Surfacing Systems use recycled and post-industrial components in each of the formulations. This manufacturing choice minimizes the exploitation of petroleum and wood resources. The Plexicushion Prestige System (liquid) contains 16.5% of post-industrial or recycled products.
All of the Plexitrac running track products can facilitate valuable credits under the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED rating system
Heavy metals such as lead and mercury, have been a component of many track systems. Today, schools are making the switch to running tracks that are free of heavy metal hazards. The Poly-Resin technology employed by Plexitrac systems has no need for heavy metal components. Tests indicate the safety of Plexitrac products that they are free of any mercury or lead hazard.

Lightning
Plexitrac Lightning is comprised of select black SBR rubber granules bound together with a black pigmented Plexitrac Binder. Lightening is then top coated with a highly pigmented black finish coat of either Plexitrac Coating or Surfacer for additional long term UV light stability and abrasion resistance. Plexitrac Lightening can be updated to Plexitrac Accelerator at scheduled maintenance cycle.

Plexitrac Flash is a traditional track surfacing system ideal for value conscious clients. Flash consists of a base layer of black SBR rubber bound together by red Plexitrac Binder for color depth. A single layer of EPDM granule is protected by Plexitrac Surfacer or Plexitrac Coating.

Plexitrac Surfacer is a Polyresin topcoat and retexturizing finish for existing latex and urethane track surfaces. Plexitrac Surfacer is perfect for revitalizing your worn running track surface. The highly pigmented composition is filled with EPDM rubber granule for texture and filling of an existing track surface.

Plexitrac XP is the newest innovation in Plexitrac System Technology. Using an enhanced performance binder, Plexitrac XP has successfully achieved IAAF certification. Plexitrac XP track surfaces have superior strength and elongation properties.
Plexitrac XP can be installed in thicknesses from 12-15mm depending upon your certification requirements.
